What this site is
Fed Retirement Tools provides information and tools for federal retirees — a free case tracker and a paid document kit (the Limbo Kit). It is independently built, not affiliated with OPM, and has no access to OPM systems. Everything here is educational: timelines, templates, and worksheets drawn from published sources. It is not financial, legal, or tax advice — decisions about your money, benefits, or legal situation are yours, ideally with a licensed professional.
The free tracker
The tracker is free, no account needed. What it shows is computed from what you enter plus OPM’s published statistics — it’s a reading aid for your wait, not a statement of what OPM will do. Accuracy matters to us and every claim is sourced, but OPM’s own timelines change; treat the tracker as context, not a promise.
The Limbo Kit ($19)
- One-time purchase, $19. No subscription, nothing recurring.
- Delivery is instant: a download on the confirmation page and a copy by email. Download links expire after 7 days, but your purchase doesn’t — request a fresh link any time from the resend page.
- Every v1.x update is included, free.
- The Kit is for your own use. Don’t redistribute it — it’s $19, and every copy sold is what keeps it maintained.
- Refunds: if the Kit isn’t what you expected, reply to your receipt email and we’ll make it right. No forms, no fine print.
The usual, briefly
The site is provided as-is; we work hard on accuracy but can’t guarantee error-free content or uninterrupted service, and we aren’t liable for decisions made from it. Questions about any of this: hello@fedretiretools.com.
